As a studio potter I really enjoying trying new forms, surface treatments, techniques in every firing. I use either white, luscious porcelain, or warm, strong stoneware. I try to accentuate the qualities I like about each as I conceive and work each piece. Please enjoy these pictures of my work, most taken by Tom Mills of North Carolina.
Here are some pots made of brown, earthy stoneware clay, mostly fired in my soda kiln.
If you prefer, here is a gallery of pots made of pristine, luscous, elegant porcelain, high fired like the stoneware for strength, durability, beauty.
These galleries are fun, but I wish I could convey the feeling of hot coffee in a stoneware mug, or the way your spoon rides along finding granola in a handmade porcelain bowl. When I can upload touch, I will!
